"This isn’t neccesarily a full blown breakfast spot, but it is home to my favorite donuts in San Diego… & I worked at a donut shop for a year when I was 16 so I feel like I am a fair judge. Their donuts are INTERESTING af- the menu changes daily, but just a few examples of their flavors: strawberry jam with almond malted milk glaze, mango habanero, horchata, guava with a cream cheese drizzle, thai tea (one of my faves) & SO MANY MORE. I am drooling. Location: North Park"
"Fans love this shop for the unique variety of flavors, including chai, ube taro coconut (which member Sarah Ordene proclaimed “are the stuff dreams are made of”) and the top-notch vegan options. In response to Henderson’s vote for Mary’s Maple Bacon Bar, fellow member Kari Helstern stated, “Find out when Nomad does their honey sesame ginger kimchi candied bacon donut!!!. I’d give BOTH kidneys for that one."
"This travel-inspired eatery got so popular that it moved to a larger space on University Avenue in August 2017. Once in the new location, executive pastry chef Kristianna Zabala was able to expand her menu (which changes daily) to include..."
"Often called (informally of course), “the best coffee in North County,” Lofty’s three locations in Encinitas and Solana Beach mean you might find one without the lines. Its original location near Moonlight Beach is a local cafe and coffee roasting spot with specialty coffee and artisanal food decorated in industrial chic. A locally owned and operated cafe, Lofty roasts its own coffee beans."
"We are so excited to announce that our Little Italy and Solana Beach locations will be reopening on June 13th!. "Lofty Coffee is also a great place to go to in San Diego if you want to have good coffee!. This coffee shop focus on two things in sourcing their coffee. They try to find the coffee that is most delicious and that allows you to try out flavors from all around the world."
"Pacific Beach, Carmel MountainMix or match two freshly baked cookies or brownies on the outside and a huge scoop of decadent ice cream inside for the perfect hand-held treat at The Baked Bear. Whatever combo you choose, have it hot-pressed, drizzled with sauce, rolled in sprinkles, mini M&Ms, or Fruity Pebbles, topped with whipped cream, or all three. How to order:Limited seating is available on a first-come basis."
"Pacific Beach/Carlsbad/Petco ParkWhat you're getting: Custom ice cream sandwich ($3.25-$4.25)Whether you build your own ice cream sandwich with cookies, brownies, or a donut, it’ll still ring in well under $5. Our pick is the cookie and brownie combo ($3.70), a delicious treat big enough to satisfy the sweet tooth of a bear under the influence of appetite-increasing herbs."
"Not that the classic thin brownie and vanilla ice cream sandwich isn’t great, but sometimes you just need to mix it up. Check out The Baked Bear, an ice cream sandwich shop where you can customize your base (cookies, brownies or donuts), your ice cream flavor and your toppings."
"It comes complete with cupcakes, frosting, sprinkles, spatulas and decorations for you to decorate your own unique cupcake treats at home."
"There’s always something new at Crumbl with their 4 specialty flavors changing weekly, but they’ve always got the classic choc chip and sugar cookie daily. As of this writing, their specialty flavors are Snickerdoodle Cupcake, Pumpkin Choc Chip, Frozen Hot Chocolate (hello chocolate mousse with mini marshmallows and powdered sugar!) and a Biscoff Lava; which if you’ve never had a Biscoff cookie, make this the one you try first!"
"Although there are quite a few bakeries, donut shops, and ice cream parlors in San Diego that offer vegan options, Starry Lane Bakery is the only place I’ve found that offers 100% vegan desserts. And, might I add, really good vegan desserts. The great thing about this bakery is that it’s good for anyone who is sensitive to food allergens, since they make all of their desserts without the top 10 most common allergens."
"Born from the minds of two sisters – one with life-threatening food allergies – all of the bakery’s products are Top 10 allergen-free. Starry Lane values the health and safety of their customers, and they achieve that through transparency and delicious food."
"A subscription to Eats Pass gives you the opportunity to save money with $0 delivery fee. Subject to terms, fees and availability."
"The Cravory specializes in amazingly sweet and unique cookies. They have two shops in San Diego, one in Point Loma and the other in Carlsbad but they also sell at local farmer’s markets. Just some of their cookie flavors include “Pancakes and Bacon,” “Rosemary Balsamic” and “Chocolate Truffle.” Get some to-go for the perfect take-home dessert and enjoy with your date along with some warm, liquored-up coffee or a White Russian for a sweet night cap."
"Your fam will love digging in to The Cravory's April cookie flavors from circus animal and caramel churro to chocolate velvet and oatmeal chocolate chip. Customize your order with a mix and match box for pick-up. Even more, try the Take and Bake chocolate chip cookies to make fresh at home."
"Ice cream and cookies are the specialties at this mother-daughter owned Encinitas spot. Made from organic dairy from Straus Family Creamery, JoJo’s creates out-of-this-world flavors such as bananas foster, cayenne sea salt, and peanut butter honeycomb. For those with allergies, JoJo’s offers several dairy-free flavors and gluten-free cookies and waffle cones."
"Lick into a scoop of artisanal ice cream at this family-run shop in Encinitas’ Lumberyard Shopping Center where everything — from the caramel to the cookie dough — is made from scratch. All the 14+ flavors use organic, local ingredients. The shop also offers non-dairy options using coconut and cashew milk, plus gluten-free waffle cones."
"San Diego's monument to sports and fitness, this 4,600-acre aquatic park has 27 miles of shoreline including 19 miles of sandy beaches."
