"If the fresh ocean air has you ironically craving BBQ, head over to the Coronado Ferry Landing for pulled pork, brisket, sausage, ribs, and chicken. Served as a sandwich or plate with your choice of three housemade sauces ranging from sweet to spicy, this casual spot is a popular choice to get your BBQ fix. Insider tip: Tables can be hard to come by during the lunch and dinner rush so come early or order online."
"When our friends at Humble Sea in Santa Cruz, California, recommended that we check out the beers from North Park, we didn’t hesitate. And the recommendation was spot on. North Park stands out from the San Diego pack by fashioning some of the most decadent, elegant stouts around."
"The North Park tasting room is open for curbside pick-up delivery of cans, crowlers and growlers. Local same day delivery available Thursday - Saturday for orders placed by noon. along with shipping anywhere in California."
"When you come to this brewery, you’re not just getting a tasting room — you’re also getting an incredible beer garden that you’ll want to stay in all afternoon. Established in 1989, this beer brewing company exemplifies the Southern California lifestyle with its refreshing brews and laid-back atmosphere. It’s also credited as being one of the first breweries to kick off the craft beer scene in San Diego."
"Karl Strauss Brewing is one of the oldest San Diego breweries on the block!. Starting back in the mid 80’s, Karl Strauss has been leading the craft beer scene before it became popular. Their craft brews have received many gold medals, including the famous Red Trolley Ale (which has been award 11 gold and 5 silver medals)."
"Their red trolley ale is my favorite and a great pick for first time visitors. Many convenient locations across San Diego (even inside airport terminal!) makes it a great option to try."
"Swell Coffee Co is an artisan coffee roasting company that recently opened a location in Del Mar’s Flower Hill Promenade. Featuring direct trade coffees from around the world, Swell brings its drinks from the farm to the roaster to the cup. The beans are roasted locally and fans get cups made only for them via a V60 pour-over coffee maker, French press or Chemex, all designed to extract the perfect flavor of the beans."
"A photo posted by Swell Coffee Co. (@swellcoffeeco_) on Nov 28, 2016 at 8:36am PST. Swell has two locations in San Diego, one in Mission Beach and one in Del Mar. I have only been to the one in Del Mar, but the coffee is fantastic, the environment is just about perfect for working (both indoors and out), and the WiFi is a solid ‘B’."
"A wee, squat building that isn’t going to dazzle with sweeping skyline views, Amplified more than makes up for its height by being just steps off the beach. It bears along some sweet ocean breezes that complement the homemade beers nicely. Have a kebab and a Treble Tripel, and we’ll await your thanks."
"Both of Stone’s expansive locations, in Liberty Station and Escondido, offer kid friendly environments where hip parents can sit back and enjoy a cold beer while the little ones run around and play games in the garden. The kid menu may not feature a lot of standard kid food (no chicken nuggets here!) but it’s perfect for little foodies in the making."
"Stone brewery is a bit of a drive from San Diego but makes for a great half day trip. Stone is known for IPAs and the restaurant on the premises is pretty good as well."
"Dan and I recently visited the Invigatorium because of his love for dinosaurs, but not going to lie I was excited too!. The vibe is Jurassic Park-inspired!. Make sure to try out the breakfast tacos when there too!"
"The name may make it sound like a bakery, which it is; it just happens to have a fantastic selection of beers that are all on draft, as well!. It’s nestled in the La Jolla Shores area, so it’s the perfect spot to hit on a beach day. After a day of surfing and swimming in the Pacific, there’s truly nothing like a crisp, refreshing beer."
"This 971-foot-long floating museum is the best way to learn about and honor San Diego's significant naval community. The decommissioned aircraft carrier is one of the most popular attractions in San Diego. Visitors can get a taste of navy life by visiting the plane-packed flight deck, sprawling hangar bay, mess hall, and berthing."
"The USS Midway was the longest-serving aircraft carrier of the 20th century. It was named for the Battle of Midway but was not used in World War II. It was notably used during the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm. You can tour all parts of the ship, including the flight deck and below deck exhibits!"

It is a club with a 1920’s retro vibe designed for those who would like to step into the Great Gatsby era for an evening. Guest also enjoy the creative and unique cocktail menu such as the “These are not the droids you’re looking for” cocktail featuring tequila, lime, allspice, Averna and apple Jarritos soda."
"The sugar rush should get you started for a night out in the Gaslamp District club scene; if you prefer something chill, the swanky retro cocktail bar Prohibition Lounge is a great way to finish the night."
