"Previously owned and established by screen actor Leo Carrillo who portrayed the role of Pancho; Cisco’s sidekick in the western television show called “The Cisco Kid. This luscious 27-acre ranch is now owned and maintained by the City of Carlsbad and connects to the citywide trails system via the 4-mile long Rancho Carrillo trail."

"Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park was opened nearly two decades ago and was once a working ranch owned by the actor it’s named after. The park is part historic attraction and part preserved natural area. It comprises nearly 30 acres that include original adobe outbuildings, windmills, cultivated gardens, and ponds."

"Tucked away in an old undeveloped valley in southeast Carlsbad stands 27 acres of an old Spanish-style ranch currently under the property of Carlsbad City. Discovered in 1985, “Carlsbad’s Sleeping Beauty” serves as a Historical Landmark and is listed on the National Register of historic places."
