Best Outdoor Activities in Granite Hills
La Jolla Cove
4.8 (1188 ratings)4.5 (12342 ratings)
Popular with divers, this quaint beach houses permanent lifeguard stations, picnic tables & showers.
"Built in the 1930s, La Jolla’s Children’s Pool was created as a family beach space, but since then it's been descended on by herds of seals and sea lions. Despite the pinnipeds' particularly pungent odor, tourists come in droves to see them larking around, swimming, fighting and mating. Visitors can get extremely close via a concrete platform surrounding the cove, and the seals don't seem to mind – but there's strictly no touching, feeding or selfies to be taken with the seals."

"This hike will take you through unique rock structures, and at the end, you can enjoy the sunset from the beach (a sometimes nude one). Don’t forget to check out the Mushroom House too while you’re there. More: Photo Guide to Hiking the Ho Chi Minh Trail"
Barona Creek Golf Club
4.4 (143 ratings)4.5 (23 ratings)
Golf course at Barona Resort where rolling hills provide terrain for all skills & ability levels.
"Sometimes mom and dad want a bloody Mary or mimosa with breakfast. While on vacation, indulge in a greasy, calorie-laden breakfast with a cocktail at MaryJane’s Diner in the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. Even their omelets seem imbued with some sort of magic potion (cream, I suspect)."
Coffee Cup
4.6 (206 ratings)
Boisterous mainstay known for inventive takes on brunch classics amid a midcentury-inspired decor.
"Next to Burger Lounge, near the heart of the downtown La Jolla, sits Coffee Cup, an assuming storefront with an incredible menu. Many of their dishes are a magical fusion of Asian and Mexican cuisine, utilizing unique ingredients for both their breakfast and lunch entrees. Top breakfast recommendations include: the Pesto Scramble, Soy Chorizo Scramble, Breakfast Enchiladas, and Coffee Cup French Toast."
"A post shared by JSMedina (@kulokoy) on Mar 17, 2019 at 8:26pm PDT. At this all-you-can-eat buffet, your food choices are more than you can try in one outing (so come back soon!) Chow down on a large selection of seafood, including crab legs, shrimp and scallops and serve yourself a side of sushi to go with it. End your meal with a delightful dessert such as crème brûlée, cheesecake or perhaps some Italian gelato."
"Although this Del Mar fish market has come a long way since its inception (as a humble case operated by one man) in 1974, its commitment to high-quality seafood remains. Today, that takes the form of a wide variety of sautéed and chargrilled catches, from local yellowtail and thresher shark to Mexican octopus and Idaho rainbow trout. "Fish and chips headlines the menu at this family-owned and operated Oceanside eatery with views of the harbor. For non-fried options, consider the grilled fish plate seasoned with butter, garlic or herb seasoning. Outdoor seating is first-come, first-served."
"Of course, you’ll want to eat some fresh seafood during your San Diego vacation. The Fish Market is the perfect choice for fish-loving families. Children enjoy watching chefs cooking entrees on a flaming grill from behind a wall of glass."
