"The 2,400-bench-seat pavilion, dedicated in 1915 by sugar magnates John D. and Adolph B. Spreckels, holds the 4,518-pipe Spreckels Organ,…"
"Dan and I recently visited the Invigatorium because of his love for dinosaurs, but not going to lie I was excited too!. The vibe is Jurassic Park-inspired!. Make sure to try out the breakfast tacos when there too!"
"There are many eateries in Coronado but this one is found right at the Coronado Ferry Center. This modern Italian restaurant overlooks the harbor and provides stunning views of Downtown San Diego from across the bay."
"After gazing at ships both antique and modern, walk north to Little Italy, where you can sample more local beers at Bottlecraft before dining at one of the neighborhood’s fantastic restaurants, such as Herb & Wood. After dinner, stroll through the charming neighborhood to reach decadent Extraordinary Desserts. The sugar rush should get you started for a night out in the Gaslamp District club scene; if you prefer something chill, the swanky retro cocktail bar Prohibition Lounge is a great way to finish the night."
"If you want a more sophisticated night, check out Little Italy which has more upscale bars and restaurants for a spot of romance. If you don’t drink alcohol, both Gaslamp and North Park also have arcade bars where you can just play games and have fun. Also, Little Italy is lovely to simply walk around and explore at night. It gets busy with a buzzy atmosphere and often has street performers performing Italian ballads."
"Located in the heart of University Heights, this longtime favorite offers early morning eats like hearty scrambles, lemon ricotta pancakes, and a slew of sandwiches in a casual, comfortable space with three distinct rooms: the front living room, the cozy “hearth room” (which has a wood-burning fireplace), and an outdoor patio. The beverage selection is particularly notable, with boozy options like Tamarindo Micheladas and eight different varieties of mimosas available by the glass or in a flight. Sign up here for our daily San Diego email and be the first to get all the food/drink/fun in town."
"Parkhouse is a quaint little space with a cute patio, a breakfast restaurant in San Diego known for its modern comfort foods. Breakfast menu items include fresh veggie, chorizo, smoked salmon, and chicken sausage scrambles, breakfast pizza, cornmeal flapjacks, and that churro pancake sounds amazing!. Located in University Heights."
"Brunch lovers can partake in a late-breakfast any day at Parkhouse Eatery as it serves brunch seven days a week. Located in a renovated house in University Heights, this neighbourhood restaurant features mouth-watering modern American cuisine in an elegant and welcoming environment."
"At 8 acres (3ha), Heritage Park is smaller than some of San Diego’s vast wilderness reserves. But, this green grassland features six Victorian homes, all of which have been restored and moved here especially for public viewing. The park also contains San Diego’s first synagogue, Temple Beth Israel."
"This is more of a cozy picnic spot than a park, but for those interested in enjoying lunch with an ocean view?. It’s good to know about. When Ellen Browning Scripps Park gets crowded and you want to gaze at the ocean in a quieter space, come here."
"Crosby Street Park is a tiny little park that just happens to have a pier that extends way out into San Diego Bay which allows you to get some cool shots of the Coronado Bridge that most people may not have seen. Along the pier there are tug boats and military ships in the yards being fixed so it can give you some pretty interesting pictures. The park has lots of parking and this place is almost always deserted so you will probably have it all to yourself."
